Private Security Training.
North Carolina requires that all persons engaged in the work of providing security, be certified or licensed to perform such work. RGTG is certified to teach theses course by the North Carolina Private Protective Services Board under Certification numbers NCPPSBUT001384, 496-FT and BPN 008114P5.
RGTG offers training that originates with RGTG, as well as contracting with the local community colleges.

Unarmed Security Guard Training
Price: $150.00 per student
Hours: 16 Hours
Minimum of 6 students for class
This course consists of 16 hours of training as required by the North Carolina Private Protective Security Board for Unarmed Security Guards. Course topics that will be covered are:

Armed Security Guard Training
Price: $200.00 per student
Classroom Hours: 20
Range Hours: Approximately 6-8 Hours
Minimum of 5 students
Prerequisite:
Unarmed Security Guard Training, 16 hours.
The topics taught for Armed Security Guard Training are:

Legal limitations on the use of handguns and on the powers and authority of an Armed Security Guard, including familiarity with rules and regulations relating to Armed Security Guards. (4 hours)

Handgun safety, including range firing procedures. ( 2 hours)

Handgun operation and maintenance. (3 hours)

Handgun fundamentals. (8 hours)

Night firing. (4 hours)
You must pass the range portion with an 80% or better on both the day fire and night fire courses.
Armed Security Guard Recertification
This course is required yearly and open to those that already have their Armed Security Guard Permit from the N.C. Private Protective Services Board and need to recertify.

This is a required course every year. The course consists of 4 Hours of review in the following topics.

Private Investigator Permit to be Armed Training

20 Hours Armed Security Training
Range Hours: Approximately 6-8 Hours
Minimum of 4 students
This course will allow a Licensed Private Investigator to carry a handgun while working after completing the following training.

Shotgun Training Class

Unarmed Security Guard Training (16 Hours)
OR P.I. Unarmed Security Training (4 hours)
AND Armed Security Guard Training (20 hours)

Classroom Hours: 6 hours
Range Hours: 2 hours Day only

This class is will authorize an Armed Security Guard to carry a standard 12 gauge shotgun after completing this block of instruction. The course consists of 4 hours in the following topics:

Shotgun Fundamentals.
An 80% or higher firearms qualification both Day and Night fire is REQUIRED.
Shotgun Recertification Class
This is a required course every year to maintain your shotgun authorization. The course consists of review in the following topics.

C. P. R.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Price: $ 35.00 a person or run through Community College
Classroom Hours: 4.5 Hours
RGTG offers 2 levels of C.P.R. developed by the American Heart Association
Level 1-Health Care Provider (for those in the Health Care Field) Police, Fire, EMS, Nurses, Doctors, LPN, CNA, Day Care employees or others working in similar fields.
There is a written and skills test given to earn the AHA certification which is good for 2 years.
Level 2-Heart Saver C.P.R. and A.E.D (for Families and Church Groups) Adult, Child and Infant C.P.R. and A.E.D.
There is skills test given for this class to earn the AHA certification which is good for 2 years.
First Aid
Price: $ 25.00 a person.
Hours: 2 Hour Class
RGTG offers a First Aid Course developed by the American Heart Association.
Heart Saver First Aid
This class covers basic First Aid from hand washing, how to handle exposure to blood, use of protective equipment, calling 911, to handing small cuts and broken bones. It also covers emergencies like heart attack, stroke, blood sugar issues and shock. The student will be able to control bleeding and apply a splint to a broken bone on a victim. Upon completion the student will be able to provide first aid for heat and cold related emergencies along with handling a poisoning emergency.
There is skills test given for this class to earn the AHA certification which is good for 2 years.
